Theresa Sumpter is the founder of Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue. Theresa and her incredible network of volunteers answer calls, anytime day or night, to rescue innocent dogs in need. DPC partners with a local veterinary clinic to make sure that each dog gets the medical treatment he/she needs and then works to find foster homes for these sweet animals until they find their forever home. In a few short years, Detroit Pit Crew has saved over 2,100 dogs.

Meagan was homeless, living out of a car, and suffering from alcoholism. She ended up in rehab and was able to turn her life around. Meagan is now sober and helps other women find hope, happiness, and healing on their road to recovery.
Candice Payne made headlines when she booked hotel rooms for over 100 homeless people in the city of Chicago during the historic polar vortex, with temperatures as low as -20 degrees below zero. Candice is now using her organization Action for a Cause to bring awareness to the crisis of homelessness and to help those who are homeless find housing and resources.
