Episode 19: Candice’s Story: Housing the Homeless During the Polar Vortex

Candice Payne

Candice Payne made headlines when she booked hotel rooms for over 100 homeless people in the city of Chicago during the historic polar vortex, with temperatures as low as -20 degrees below zero.

Candice is a 34-year-old Realtor, who founded an organization called Action for a Cause a few years ago, in hopes that one day she and her organization would be able to help the homeless. That day has come and now Candice’s work and mission goes above and beyond housing 100 homeless people during the polar vortex, her organization is working on flipping houses for the homeless and helping those in need.

Candice shares her story and more about her critical work on this week’s episode of the 1 Girl Revolution podcast. Listen below.
