Ashley Novoa, founder of the Chicago Period Project, joins the 1 Girl Revolution podcast to share her life story – including being a first generation immigrant and now being a mom, how the Chicago Period Project, and more about their incredible work to empower women and combat period poverty.

The Chicago Period Project empowers homeless and in-need women to experience their periods with dignity by providing the supplies and “period kits” to them. They work with local schools and shelters in Chicago, but their work has now spread across the U.S. They have also provided period kits and supplies during relief efforts in Texas, California, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Florida, and more.
