Dr. Ladan Eshkevari, Program Director and Associate Professor at Georgetown University and lead clinician at Avesta Ketamine and Wellness, joins The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast to share her fascinating life story and to discuss her innovative work to help others with mental and physical wellness. Dr. Eshkevari is an expert in the areas of anesthesia, pain management, and alternative medicine, specializing in central and peripheral mechanisms of pain and stress responses. 

Ladan was born in Iran and moved to the U.S. through asylum with her family as a child. She went on to study nursing and became a nurse and worked as a nurse during the AIDS epidemic in the U.S. She then went on to get her phD in physiology and biophysics. She currently serves as Program Director and an Associate Professor at Georgetown University – where she’s been for over 20 years. Dr. Eshkevari is a physiologist, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and a licensed acupuncturist. She also serves as lead clinician at Avesta Ketamine and Wellness.
