McKenzie Gallagher is a wife, the mother of 4 children, the co-owner of Rove Estate Vineyard and Winery, she’s a cancer survivor (and thriver!), and she’s the founder of H.O.P.E. – Helping Other People Everyday.
Only in her 30s, McKenzie and her husband opened the doors to Rove together in 2016 after years of planting vines, making wine, and preparing the tasting room and winery. Just after a year and a half of the winery being open, McKenzie was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer – Triple Negative Breast Cancer – during which she underwent intense chemotherapy preceding a double mastectomy. During her treatment, McKenzie continued to run her business, raise her children, tend to dozens of acres of cherries, apples, peaches, and grapes – AND defeat cancer. After defeating her cancer, McKenzie decided to found H.O.P.E. – Helping Other People Everyday – with a mission to create a global impact and help people in need everywhere.
McKenzie joins the 1 Girl Revolution podcast to share her powerful life journey, she talks about being a cherry farmer and winery owner in Traverse City, Michigan, she shares how she was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer – Triple Negative Breast Cancer – and the intense treatment she endured, and how she rose above it all to defeat cancer and THRIVE, and how she’s now helping others through an organization she founded called H.O.P.E. – Helping Other People Everyday.
