Episode 149: Trinita Ervin Patton: Empowering Girls Through Health and Wellness

Trinita Ervin Patton, Founder of Ladybug for Girls

Trinita Ervin Patton, founder of Ladybug for Girls, joins The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast to share her inspiring life story, how she became interested in health and wellness, the story that led her to do something to support little girls and found Ladybug for Girls, and she talks about the great work that Ladybug for Girls is doing to empower girls through health, wellness, community, and education.

The Ladybug for Girls® Foundation, Inc. is a growing community of parents and their daughters, school teachers, and health professionals who are concerned about the health and well-being of girls. Trinita founded Ladybug for Girls after being troubled by the soaring obesity rates, the gender gap in physical fitness, and the inadequate resources for the social and emotional well-being of children within the health system. Their one-of-a-kind holistic and comprehensive approach equips girls to navigate life through unity, self-empowerment, healthy living and advocacy.

In this episode, you’ll hear:

  • Trinita’s inspiring life story;
  • The story of how Trinita lost both of her parents at a young age and how that led to her interest in health and wellness;;
  • The powerful conversation that led to Trinita deciding to do something to support and empower young girls, and found Ladybug for Girls;
