is an award-winning nonprofit multimedia organization that is dedicated to highlighting the stories of everyday women and girls who are changing the world through their lives.
1 Girl Revolution starts with the idea that every woman has the power to change the world through her life, ranging from CEOs who are making an impact to nonprofit founders to stay-at-home mothers. Our content will inspire you to reach for the stars, chase your dreams, and strive to make a difference in the world through your life, no matter who you are or where you live.
We release a new podcast episode every week featuring a conversation with a woman who is changing the world through her life. If you are not sure where to start, try episode #182 featuring Ruby Kate Chitsey, founder of Three Wishes for Ruby’s Residents, or episode #191 featuring Angel Flewellyn, founder of Sunday’s Best Crew. Both of these episodes highlight the power of one woman to start a revolution and transform the world!
1 Girl Revolution also features video interviews with world-changing women and girls, as well as an Emmy-nominated documentary series on YouTube featuring “The Girl Inside” and “In Tandem.”

Revolutions can come in many forms and women are making history and changing the world every single day. Yet, their stories are often overlooked. The world knows Rosa Parks for her simple “no” and her refusal to stand up – which launched a revolution and led to a movement towards equality and social justice. Or Mother Teresa, whom through her simple “yes” to a life of service and her move to start “The Missionaries of Charity”, she started a movement towards peace, love, and helping others. Or Malala Yousafzai, who after surviving being shot for her advocacy for girls’ education, became the youngest Nobel Peace Prize-winner and continues to advocate for girls’ education and has championed access to education for millions of girls worldwide. These are the stories that we all know, but we strive to highlight the stories of women who are changing the world and making history in the same way, but the stories that often get overlooked and are untold. 1 Girl Revolution tells the stories that deserve to be heard.

Founder of 1 Girl Revolution
Kate Milligan is the Founder and CEO of 1 Girl Revolution, host of The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast, and President of One Girl Revolution (non-profit organization.
Kate has worked in public relations (PR) and media for over 15 years and after becoming frustrated and disheartened by the lack of inspiring stories of women and girls being covered by the media, Kate decided to start 1 Girl Revolution as an outlet to do just that.
1 Girl Revolution is founded on a few simple beliefs:
Every woman has a story.
Every woman has a voice and that voice deserves to be heard.
Every woman has the power to change the world through her life.
Every woman can be a 1 Girl Revolution!
Women and girls are making history and changing the world every single day… and 1 Girl Revolution seeks to highlight that and to inspire every single woman and girl to be the 1 Girl Revolution she was created to be.
